100 years...100 lists?

So...revamped AFI Movie list. Thoughts? My immediate thoughts were: about time for The General, Sunrise, and Preston Sturges; and at least now I have less catching up to do if I want to see all 99. (I'm denying the very existence of Forrest Gump.)

It's a good thing that the AFI recognized the new cutting-edge genre of silent film. Perhaps in another decade they'll include works from that hot young director Ernst Lubitsch.

I don't understand why they revamped the list after only a few years. I wouldn't expect it to change much in that short a time, so the whole thing is a nonevent.
